Personal

I feel very fortunate in looking back on my own experiences and teachers in music. When I was 16, I began teaching “supervised” with my then current piano teacher. This early guidance into teaching made it so that I was able to enter college with teaching knowledge and experience that most musicians do not gain until a much later age.

Since this time, I have developed myself as a musician and teacher. I procurred my Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree in addition to a Performance Certificate. My own education was made possible through talent based scholarship awards. I have also had the pleasure of attending music festivals and performing in Germany and Italy, also on scholarship.

All the while, I have continued teaching and enjoying being able to share my love of music with others. I have now taught for over a decade and been able to see and experience the many challenges and rewards of teaching firsthand. I feel that music is an integral part of life. I truly hope to be able to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm for learning to all my students.
